How can I access the tool?If you are a local authority, through registering your details – name, local authority you represent, municipality details and email address. Once you submit you will receive an email with a username and password. If you are a stakeholder you need to apply to the local authority for details.In the Login page you can enter these details which will then give you access to the questionnaire. How many people should take part in the self-assessment per local authority?Only one person should represent the local authority in the self-assessment procedure. The person who has registered and been sent the username and password for the login, will then have to submit the self-assessment. While answering the questions colleagues can of course be invited to take part, but the registered person is then the co-ordinator of this input.As many stakeholder organisation respondents as the local authority invites can take part. The local authority can register an unlimited amount of stakeholder organisations who will then be sent automatic emails with login details. How do I register?You register through the Login page, where you enter your name and other details. Stakeholder organisation respondents cannot register by themselves, but need to go through the local authority. As a local authority respondent, you will be able to register stakeholder organisation respondents once you have logged in. How can I use my login details?You can use your login details to access the questionnaire. Once you have submitted the questionnaire your login will expire. If someone obtains your login details, they will be able to access the Local Evaluation 21 self-assessment in your name. Therefore, please protect your username and password from others. If you are using a shared computer, you should log out of Local Evaluation 21 when finished. If you have forgotten your login details, send an email to . When is the best time to do the questionnaire?When you have some quiet time available! Any time is fine to do the questionnaire, as long as you have internet access. What happens when I enter the self-assessment questionnaire?When you enter you will see an introduction page explaining how the questionnaire works and what you need to do. You can then proceed directly to the questions which are in ten sections. If your computer crashes or logs out, you will be able to return and find the last section which you completed fully still showing in the questionnaire. How long will this take?The questionnaire should take around thirty minutes for local authority representatives, and fifteen for stakeholder organisation respondents. Make sure you have some time! What do I get in return?You will receive a report containing three charts showing your overall score in terms of eleven criteria, and then comparing these with similar sized cities, and with a regional mean. Following that will be a set of feedback on each individual criteria, each including an aggregate stakeholder organisation comment if you have involved more than two respondents. What happens if I don’t get a feedback report?The report should take a maximum of three weeks to generate – it’s automatically timed so that it is sent three weeks after you have submitted your self-assessment. This is to give time to stakeholder organisation respondents to enter their assessment. If you do not receive a report, email with your login details. Can I do the assessment offline (not on the internet)?Unfortunately not! You can however print off the questionnaire once you are through the login procedure and prepare your answers then.
